Lights on Park
Every year through an amazing community effort the city of Livingston is able to enjoy an incredible lights display on Park Street. Although the lighting takes place shortly after Thanksgiving, we’re able to enjoy the beautiful illuminations and nearly weekly holiday festivities all season long. Make a night of it with dinner right across the street at the historic Murray Bar or hot chocolate from Gil’s Goods.
Livingston Holiday Market
Located at the Civic Center, The Livingston Holiday Market is the perfect place to snag locally made art and handmade holiday gifts. Find that one of a kind holiday gift while supporting local artists and makers in our community. Pictures with Santa for your kids (and pets) is always a hit!
Horse Drawn Carriage Rides
While Montana may be known for our beautiful summer weather, few get to experience the majesty of the snowy winter season. Snow capped mountains, crisp bright winter moons, and beautiful holiday lights could be the backdrop to a romantic or family carriage ride through the winter landscape. Bundle up under blankets with hot chocolate to see the festive and charming small town or grand white countryside.
SnowShoeing and Cross Country Skiing
Looking for a more outdoorsy experience? Thanks to Dan Bailey’s Outdoor Co or Deep Creek Outdoors at Chico Hot Springs rental programs, you can have the incredible adventure without the pricey investment in the gear. There is nothing like the perfect quiet of the snowy landscape in deep Montana winter. Great for the whole family or a romantic trek with just the two of you. There are winter recreation options for all ability levels!
Holiday Vaudeville at The Shane Center

Local Hot Springs
The hot springs at Chico and Yellowstone Hot Springs are an incredible experience all year round, great for the body and soul. However, as the temperatures drop and the snow falls the experience of warm water in an open air setting is as “Montana” as it gets! The magic of a soft snowfall into steamy water with a handcrafted cocktail in hand just can’t be replicated.

Livingston is full of unique and locally owned shops that go all out for the holiday season. From new to vintage, the downtown area has it all.
